First time user of ShapeShift and had a very bad experience so far.
I wanted to exchange 0.23 BTC to BCH and despite the large mining fee used the first confirmation came seconds after the trade 'expired'.
Afterwards, my BTC is completely LOST! I can't retry the trade or nothing. I submit a support request... no response! I needed the BCH for a time sensitive deal and now it fell through
There should be an option to retry the trade at a different exchange rate or a self serve option to withdraw. Locking people's BTC for 72 hours is unacceptable.
I am sorry to say this service isn't very user friendly. You have to be an expert and 100% certain your payment makes it before the trade 'expires' to use this tool.
DON'T USE THIS SERVICE UNLESS YOU'RE OKAY WITH YOUR FUNDS LOCKED FOR DAYS WAITNG FOR A REFUND!
