I'm not expert in crypto world but I believe in this project, I saw some big amount of ETH placed on buy order at Etherdelta, seems something big will come soon, I bought some just in case .
Please keep in mind that this could also be market manipulation; a big buy order is placed and just before it's about to get executed, it vanishes. I'm not saying that's the case here too, but do keep it in mind as it pushed you to buy some as well 
I don't think so. Shift the price chart to dept analysis in your charting software and you will notice the huge demand for ETHD. Almost no sell orders and a huge demand on the buy side. I would not be surprised if this takes a big jump in the coming days.
