Question is would you choose to use it for free ? Or would you pay, according to the devs a little, fee, to possibly get better and more stable downloads on a decentralized platform ?
I often find files that I want to download, but they are with 0 seeders and dead. Or with larger files and only a few seeders, it can take a huge amount of time, especially when we want everything to be available to us in a blink of an eye. UFR can improve on this. Viruses are another problem with torrents.
Also Upfiring doesn't need to replace torrents, it can be an alternative. There are many people who would want access to selective files and people would be more willing to share better files for a fee.
I guess that's exactly the market for this project. There is a reason why closed torrent communities are the best. Seeders are incentivized through the ratio and the availability is way better than at the open trackers. I don't know how devs are going to deal with some of the "unsavoury" content being shared, but I am looking forward to this project.
