I am also having the same problem... and yes, I do want to watch my MN in the wallet... so how is this fixed?

Use linux for both masternode and control node. On windows you won't be able to read masternode.conf the right way, because of code bug. In Dash, it was fixed with this:

Can you tell me where to search on how to setup the main wallet on linux?
