agreed i think it really boils down to hobby / home mining vs commercial mining and number of rigs involved. for 10 rigs or less one might consider algo switching  to maximise profit but i feel 20 rigs above which is totally a different ball game. no point switching as uptime is crucial plus switching too frequently i feel might put strain on hardware. not sure if it holds true but i guess the saying slow and steady has some truth in it, by that i don't mean running stock settings   but rather efficiently overclocked settings
