Nearly everybody I've talk to thinks that it will hit 1000 some day. Very many projects are based on Ethereum nowadays and if even 5% of them will have sucess public will eagerly forget about other 95% as it always do. But it depends on BTC rate, overall do not think that ratio of 0.05 will change in a sustainable manner during next year. So when BTC hit 16k, Ether will pass 1k. It can hit this mark before but not for long imao.
