If you want your own sub board then start being active and promote the thread to people you know. Sadly, local boards are prime for abuse and because of the lax moderation they're usually more hassle than they're worth and are quickly abused by sig spammers and farmers in a multitude of ways once they realise they can get away with this.

I know it's a thread. Did you even read or understand what I wrote? They don't need a new board if their local thread isn't even that active. Local boards are only created when local threads get messy due to high activity and there is obviously demand. I don't think there is in this case.
