I think it can be a good decision not to do bounties. It has pros and cons of course, but at least there won't be the usual bounty dumpers.

I guess that is because they have other marketing campaings in mind. Maybe they don't have enough money for everything and had to make a choice.

so this project will not you have a bounty campaign? perhaps they have in mind other methods to promote, advertise the ico...

Bounties are an easy way to promote a project for a cheap price.

I agree with you. Bounties cost very less than professional marketing and their reach is wide without many efforts.

In fact, bounties paid in the own tokens costs nothing to the devs beside the transaction coasts in the end

If a project gains in value, that's pretty nice. If it fails, the devs have paid nothing but a bit of eth for the transactions. That's one of the reasons why all ICOs pay bounties in their own currency and not in for example eth or btc. But it's of course also good for the project as this means more tokens are in circulation, which is good for the market.
