Normally I would definitely agree, and still do to a certain extent, but this market doesn't seem to know what's stopping or consolidating anymore. It only knows how to move forward, and that's basically it.

For a trader it might turn out to be a lucrative opportunity to short just before reaching the $10,000 mark, but in current times it might also turn out that you have sold a fair bit too early.

As long as the CME Group is still in the race to tie its markets to Bitcoin, the market will likely keep holding strong. It's a big deal since this is what a good number of people have been dreaming about to happen.
