I prefer not to even say I am a "believer", there is something called first hand experience, knowing and then of course just good old observation.

Yup, especially from someone who wants to believe.
He already has his conclusion and then does his study to confirm this conclusion. Ofcourse simply ignoring everything that doesn't fit his conclusion.
This is pretty standard behaviour for believers.
And everyone who doesn't agree with them will be called narrow minded.
