If someone you knew had six 741’s, power supplies for each and the controllers basically a plug in and go setup how much BTC would be a fair trade for them if the deal was done tomorrow?

I know they can be bought new with PSU for around 1k each but it will be months before you get them.

I'd consider paying about 8k for it, off course it also depends on your electricity price, as a higher price would mean you need to pay less for the same hardware to break even

6 units = 48-50th

so  if you got it in 2 days  you would have about 10 days at this  diff or around 0.09334 btc back  in the first 10 days.

if you paid 1 btc    in theory  100 days could or may  earn 0.9334 btc

power used is  8000 watts  or 8 x 24 = 196 kwatts a day  or 6000 kwatts a month  at 10 cents = 600 bucks  about 20  a day so 100 days = 2000 for power

if you mine 2000 days  and diff moves up with price holding you would have 1.38 btc in 200 days  or 1.38 - 4000 for power  if you had 10 cent power

so  1.38 x 9600 = 13,248- 4000 = 9248   after 200 days or break even and gear in hand.

That to me is the best it would do.  so if you had 10 cent power I would say it is okay buy not great.

drop power cost to  8 cents  and  the deal looks better.

raise power cost to 12 cents and the deal is so so .

snap guess.   if this was  s-9's  they use less power but break more

I would take 5 s-9's  because I will get breakage.

So my guess is 1 btc is max price for 6  that making some money could happen.

I would want to pay less  if the deal was offered to me  say 0.8 btc or 7500 usd whatever is less
