so you did not try it before and got error like others? because we are still waiting for re-fund from polo because coins are away after error message but not on blockchain
i'm sure they will get it sorted out polo has NEVER done me dirty
hodl emc2 <<<i'm not so sure... it's up 24 h now... market re-opened - wallet obviously online like you told for example - but people didn't get back their emc2 coins until yet... it doesn't make sense to wait several days/weeks/months in such a case... people need their funds back today.
As you say, my funds are still hanging @ poloniex with no information since one day, the currency is loosing gains right now and you cannot do anything against it .. the wallet seems to work, but they are just blocking higher amounts of funds, smaller ones were fine to sent, bigger ones ended with a complete : error from polo, no more information and no access to all the sent EMC2 anymore
i hear the deal is they lowered the amount of confirmations and they will take the wallet offline BEFORE the fork then after we are seeing >> 50K-100K possible :-D weee

everything you say is absolutely correct, but i think you don't see one point: everyone who tried to withdraw his emc2 coins yesterday or today until problems were soluted, got an error message in his polo account. The problem is that after this error message user's emc2 coins were missing. They never left poloniex but they are not available in your account... That's what people mean, they want to have their coins - just to hold them - sell them - withdraw for new - whatever, but we want to have our coins in our account... and we don't want to wait for that more than one day. why should we wait more than one day? I don't see a good reason waiting longer than a normal support ticket reaction time everywhere in the world shout be about 24 hours
