All we can do is risk our money in altcoins thinking something good will happen with them even if bitcoin price is going way up.
It is possible but only with the good coins which can also go with the pump. Remember, not all altcoins are bloody red when bitcoin is up.

I see what ETH is doing right now but remember,since btc started the bull run from the correction in august,ETH has been moving like a snail and only a few months later it pumped 50%
.I took the decision to stay away for now and watch for a few days what is happening.I hope i'll catch cheaper alts if not,i'll go back to bitmex and margin trade
