Ahh the joys of solo mining!
Two days ago was my best day ever. I was hitting blocks all day long. Destroyed my previous record.
And now I haven't got a block in over 24 hours.. Rollercoaster. Just got to roll with the punches.
On a different coin, I put an old laptop on it solomining, just to test something. I hit a block on the first line of hashes. I knew it was luck, but I left it running for a few more days just to see. Didn't hit a second block. Two days ago was my best day ever. I was hitting blocks all day long. Solomining is great as long as you're patient, don't mind the ups and downs of luck and have a decent hash rate.
