I have big problem with Hitbtc too, more than 24h and my withdrawal won't proceed, the support say that their "engineers are aware of the situation and they are already working on it". 
I don't understand where is the problem, some small exchanges don't have this withdrawal issues.

My withdrawal of BTX from HitBTC took 24 hours to processed and I received the same comments you gotten from their support. I'm not sure what's wrong but certainly by the time i gotten my coins, the AirDrop is already done and I initiated the withdrawal way earlier. I'm quite sceptical whether i want to buy/sell coins from this exchange since it took forever to withdraw them.
