I'm looking to build a 6 card rx580 rig and had a question about components I hoped maybe someone could help me with advise on. Are amd boards and cpu's not worth using? I'm considering an asrock fatality ab350 mother board with an amd athlon x4 Bristol ridge quad core 3.5 GHz cpu. Also plan to use Windows with this one. I want to cut as many corners as I can as long as it's not killing longevity. Thanks for any help.
Keep in mind that the Bristol Ridge APUs have a lot fewer PCI-E lanes than Ryzen do - I'm not sure if they will support all the PCI-E slots on that motherboard.
Most of my current rigs are built on FM2 or AM3/AM3+ AMD setups, but availability of AM3+ motherboards is getting short and FM2 is starting to go that way.
