As a long term investor, Verge is far superior. As a short term trader, Shield will make massive gains, very quickly! The reason why Shield will run hard in the short term is because it is massively undervalued.
I believe Shield will ultimately surpass Verge in price, not just in the short term. One obvious reason for this is Shield's total supply is far less than Verge.
Also, keep in mind that Shield is still young, which means it has plenty of room for growth. I have no doubt that Shield will improve over time, because it has a highly dedicated team and a strong community behind it.
In my opinion, I think Shield offers a better value to a long term investor. But you are free to think whatever you want.
