Hi @all,

as probably some of you have exchanged fans - what kind of model / type would you guys recommend? How many RPM fans are you using to get the D3 quiet?
Mine are currently running at 2500-3000rpm with original fans. Any recommendations?

And thanks Blissz, for starting this and still working on an even better custom FW. :-)

I run it with the 120mm 2000rpm Scythe Slip Stream fans, but that only works if you run it at the lowest voltage setting. A relative silent 2500 to 3000rpm would be better. Anybody got suggestions?

Yes, I think I found one:

This one looks quite promising actually. I just ordered some (they are not cheap!) and I'll give them a try over the weekend...

I have installed the Noctua NF-F12

Ambient temp: 16°C
Fan: 3.000rpm = 65dB (AUTO Performance)
Clock: 500 MHz
Voltage: 9V
Max Chip-Temp: 86°C
18.730 MH/s
Accepted: 100%
Hardware errors: 0 (after 30min)
Usage: 1.020 Watt

Testing again

Thanks for this!

You're really on the maximum with that fan as the max chip temp is quite high. I would advice to lower the voltage to setting 5 and see how much hashrate you could get with that. Your max chip temp will stay below 80 deg then I guess

5V was a failure. D3 is not booting anymore. Try to reset.
