Is there any other reason for a random cryptocurrency to make its name on the top of original Bitcoin than just parasitize on Bitcoin's brand?
I can't see similarities between BitcoinZ and Bitcoin, except the total supply. On the same note, I agree with the name of Bitcoin Cash - it is a true fork of bitcoin, uses the same technology, except block size and DAA and entitled all Bitcoin holders the exact amount in Bitcoin Cash. For ideological and usability reasons, I agree to call it Bcash as well.
Please enlighten me how is BitcoinZ different from any other Equihash fork - be it ZenCash, Zclassic, Hush, Komodo, Bitcoin Gold, Minex? What makes it valuable?
I dont want to discuss about real value of those coins, but more and more coins launched with Equihash algorithm. At the point, at least they will give miners different options and spreah hashrates out a little bit from one coin to another.
I completely agree with your opinion. Everyone has their own views and perceptions, so the miners can choose their own option. If you dont accept BTCZ, you can out.

I think using bitcoin as part of the name is simply a ploy to appeal to the mindset of those who feel bitcoin is legitimate, and with so many crap coins floating around the inclusion of bitcoin in the name gives a false sense of security. I agree for those reasons, however, this project has a good set of fundamentals, is based on great technology, and a decent algo. I'm not a big fan of equihash due to the ridiculous power consumption, but its still a decent algo. I believe this coin has potential but definitely have a few doubts due to the ridiculously high amount of coins. 21 billion coins are just too much. Half that would have been plenty. However I'm mining it due to the high returns. I'm holding a percentage in case this project actually succeeds. But realistically I'd love to see anything succeed that's not bitcoin. I absolutely hate btc. Too slow,  and tx too expensive, and definitely far too centralized. I'm expecting governments to start mining bitcoin soon so they can control it. Russia already trying to control crypto through their own cryptoruble. I'm all for anything that could possibly take market share from bitcoin by providing a superior service and experience and at the same time protect us from the threat of centralization and with it the threat of goverment centralization/control and manipulation.

Guys look at this : https://www.cryptocrib.net/d/62-upcoming-bitcoin-forks
It will hurt us?
