LOL, you have never run a datacenter have you....the humidity in a datacenter is typically kept over %50 to cut down on the potential of static discharge. At %12 the potential for static discharge is huge. I don't want the air to be super humid....It definitely SHOULD be higher than %12.
My apologies for sounding rather rude in the first comment. I didn't mean it to come off that way.
But no, I've not run a data center, but I have run several mining rigs in very dry (single digit humidity) environments for several years and never had an issue before. I guess I figures that as all the equipment was connected and grounded at the wall it would't be an issue, but lesson learned. Good luck to you
