When it comes to the investment, many newcomers or people with frequent requirement find it difficult to invest for longer amount of time. Here by short investment i mean any investment which is less than year old. That investment has been cashed out within a year. And by long term investment I mean investment which will be kept for more than year ( ideally 10 years or so).
What do you think which is more beneficial short term investment or long term investment
I think this depends on the affordable investment that you can loose over the time if something went wrong. If there is no use of your money for long time or you have sufficient in your saving then you should not worry about the investment that you are making. In that case the 10 years period would be nothing. Juts look at the graph now, how the bitcoin looks like to you if considered from year 2009 to all upto today? Does that make sense, yes off course it does because it has increase by 10000X today and those who had few bitcoins also are millionaire now, ideally billionaire though!
So thats the point it depends on many things, may be it could be personal, family related or just something that makes it important to cash out on timely basis or sometimes it may not be required at all. Thats what will define which one is better. For me one year is enough period really.
