An Identicon is a visual representation of a hash value. Since Nimiq aims for better usability than conventional cryptocurrencies we werent satisfied with state-of-the-art Identicons. We have decided to base Nimiq's Identicons in Robohash.
Our port of the Robohash library is open source and contributed to the public domain. Wed love to see other projects use our library and help us enhance the code and maintain the repository.
