Probably the only reason of why a lot of people are investing in bitcoin right now, and that is disgusting. I am still seeing dozens of new investors saying that they only feel attracted to it because the price is *rising*


Not anonymous anymore, the IRS and the US are trying to do as much as they can in order to ask for ID to everybody who owns bitcoin, AKKA KYC/AML.


Maybe you are right, but if a newbie wants to send $10 worth of bitcoin to someone, if he does not use a segwit chain, he will have to be paying more than $4 worth of fees (about 40% of the TX)


Descentralized only at a limited point, every government, specially the US and China are trying to centralize it by stupid methods, like shutting down exchanges, creating *centralized coins* (like russia/cryptorruble)
