What kind of site is that ?... it looks like Einsteins white paper ... couldnt understand/read a word
haha thats a Japanese site you can translate the page. They have events in downtown Tokyo to attract more people to the shopping district. Would love to fly there in the spring and spend a weekend with them.
Monacoin mahjong isn't an offline event in Tokyo...it's completely online, on tenhou. 136 people joined last weekend (I was one of them and have been participating since 2014 lol - and I live in California). It's kind of difficult to support that kind of number physically every other weekend without some heavy preparation and cost.
Riichi mahjong's kind of like rummy but with tiles, for those unfamiliar with the game. Mona mahjong (basically a riichi mahjong tournament with monacoin prizes) is a weekly event (though became biweekly for the better part of 2017 during the stagnation period). This upcoming weekend actually marks the first non-biweekly monacoin mahjong tournament, with a new organizer on board (so there're 4 organizers now).
Monacoin trading is not available on Bitflyer. It's also not mentioned at all in the press release (while Litecoin trading, etc, are stated to launch in the first half of 2018). Whether or not this means Bitflyer USA will trade Monacoin or not is still up in the air, but I can at least confirm that as of launch (and today) that only USD-BTC trading is active on Bitflyer.
