Dear SONMer,
I would like to suggest you test the well known open source finite element library deal.ii.
http://www.dealii.org/Deal.ii has been developed since 2000. Many scientists and engineers are using it in a variety of areas, such as the computational fluid dynamic, quantum mechanics, magnetohydrodynamics, oil recovery, biomedical et al.
A lot scientists have published papers with the help of deal.ii.
http://www.dealii.org/publications.htmlThis year deal.ii is taken as part of the SPEC CPU 2017 benchmark.
http://www.dealii.org/news.htmlDeal.ii utilized many mathematical library, for example lapack, pets, trilinos, tbb et al. It's a great tool to test the efficiency and scalibility of SONM network.
The docker image of deal.ii can be download here
