I updated my script to support dependency installation on ubuntu. Tested this with Ubuntu 16.0.4.3 live as well as Debian 9.2 live
Sweet little install script, Abdussamad! Works perfectly with 3.0.2 
Just a heads-up that this doesn't seem to work very well with version 2.9.3 of Electrum... Not sure why anyone would want to run an older version... but you never know
