If you look at the historical performance of bitcoin, even the last few years, we have seen how clearly it has been able to outperform most other investments out there. If that is not good enough reason to hold bitcoin for a long time, then I dont know what is. As with any other form of investment, there will be volatility and risks involved but as long as the price keeps its long term growth intact, I will keep a portion of my bitcoin stored.
