starling thanks for replying;   When I run  
cd ~;
cd Desire/src/
./desire-cli stop
I get: error: couldn't connect to server


when I run:
sudo killall desired

I get: desired: no process found

and am still getting same error
cd ~;
cd Desire/src/
./desired -daemon

I am getting this error :
  Unable to bind to 0.0.0.0:9919 on this computer. Desire Core is probably already running.
Error: Failed to listen on any port. Use -listen=0 if you want this.

"Any one get this error before"
