"NEO" was Antshares before it was NEO.  When Antshares was releasing nothing but broken wallets after hyping up their second term of the ICO, I voiced my concern in an aggressive way on their thread here feeling as if investors had been duped.  Following that, I offered my help to fix their wallets and explained I was a developer but heard nothing back oddly.  Not long after, they announced they were rebranding to "NEO" as it meant "new" and so forth.  If nothing else, that is one interesting sequence of events and rationale for the name change considering that was the meaning given behind Neos and the name back when we first launched in 2014.
