Does anyone have an idea why my wallet is minting negative COLX via staking? I am minting -650.000... COLX at a time. My MN is working normally but just started staking because I never really bothered with it previously.

Damn, this is crazy man: what does appears when you write getstakingstatus in the console? And what size are your staking blocks?
I split them up into blocks of 25,000. For the moment I am just not having the wallet unlocked for staking because I don't have time right now to recreate my MN in a new wallet file as was suggested.
getstakingstatus gives me:
