I dont think this is practical, you will pay for transfer fee just to pay clothes, food, water, appliances etc were as you can actually pay fiat without any additional fee. So far i don't know any mall or supermarket that accepts bitcoin here in my place.
Even in my country I haven't see any mall or supermarket that accepts bitcoin as a mode of payment and even if it does then also I think people would not be willing to spend their bitcoins as it can be time consuming to wait for transaction to get confirmed so people will prefer to use cash or debit/credit card for making payments.
Also in our country, there is no store that accepts bitcoin as a payment and I agree that using bitcoin can be a problem when it comes to delayed transaction confirmations. In stores, it would be preferable to use fiat money or just like what you said credit cards because it will be more convenient and faster compared to using bitcoin. Bitcoin is much more useful online when making money transactions that is not that urgent and I think it should stay that way.
