Is the coin or wallet still being developed or improved in any way, or has it just been abandoned?
Well good question, the latest wallet release is from November 10, 2015, according to GitHub. Not much happened here.
Wallet doesn't need any fix. And wallet is totally useless since you can do it with coinb and you just need a paper wallet with a private key, Print it and save it anywhere safe and nobody can hack it ( well if not physical access :p )
