i think The reason theres evil in the world is not because of God, but because God gave us the freedom to choose. Now the potential for love outweighs the existence of evil, because you see, evil is only going to exist for a short time, but love is going to go on forever. And all of the suffering and all of the death that we see in the world today are the result because man has chosen to make wrong choices.
so what is you clarification on that question ?
Evil exist to balance world. Think about it this way, how can we determine the if someone is good or bad without knowing what it is. Without comparison, we won't have knowledge about things. A good example would be on how a person looks like, we can't determine if a person is beautiful if we don't know what ugly is. :-) People will always make wrong choices and it will only be EVIL if we keep on doing it. I have read an article and it convince me that most evil is done by good people who do not know that they are not good.
I agree with your opinion...evil is necessary for balance...and also for diversity, so that people can choose their own way
