Thanks to BTC core, BCH has done in 4 months what took legacy years to accomplish. (futures trading(mass adoption), ONCHAIN SCALING) 
Increasing the block size was a logical move, I agree, yet not very technological.I am still convinced Layer 2 solutions are more technological and allow more functionality to be added to the network.
I taped a floppy disk to my toaster to make it more technological, soon every toaster will ship with a floppy disk pre-attatched cause let's face it: more technological is the future.
