Nope, it's smooth as silk for me. It might be your own internet connection. Depending on where you're from and what your speed/bandwith is, could hugely impact on how certain sites are loaded.
Try running
http://www.speedtest.net/, and see what your own ping actually is, it might be the reason.
I don´t think it is his internet connection. Bitfinex has been subject to a DDoS attack since 1-2 days.
Other exchanges have been affected as well.
