There is information all over the internet on what to do, when your balance shows zero. Why are people so lazy these days 
I think its more than a bit unreasonable to suggest that people are being lazy - I found the information and followed the instructions - 10 days ago and still nothing, still pending, it looks like there are plenty more in the same status. This is a joke - either someone stole the tokens and this is a scam or there is a great deal of incompetence going on - This is supposed to be an immutable blockchain, not someone's private database that they can manipulate and zero out our balances.Iota was completely new and immature. The devs inevitably made some mistakes in the beginning
You can take it as an emergency tangle "hardfork". Old iota was vulnerable and died and new safer iota was born. You should be grateful to people who protected your balance in spite of your inaction. Your balance is not forgotten. You have become part of new iota automatically and all what is needed is a bit of your patience
