i hear that so so often in various situations in life its sickening
especially those people who say it are never successfull themselfes
what i believe they are doing (just like you) is saying shit like that to relativate others success (even if its only alledged success) to make themselfes feel better
i dont know if people really believe in what i quoted from you or not but from my experience there is absolute no positive correlation between being humble and being successfull
im even tending to think that there is a negative correlation actually
