As long as you have KMD in an address that you own the privkey, you are safe and it will be accuring interest automatically. Your balance need to be minimum 10 KMD and nlocktime need to be set for the tx. You don't need to keep your wallet online 24/7. You can use Agama or the komodo-cli version.
