Question, I'm currently mining on btczpool.com and my unpaid balance is 0 despite me sending shares.. Do I only see something in unpaid balance once the block I was helping to mine matures, or should I see an unpaid balance even before the block matures?

On normal pools you can see you immature balance right after pool find new block. Immature and unpaid its different. It will be shown as unpaid only after maturation.
And maturation is not your work. You must help to find new block with other miners on pool.
