Facebook is warned about ban in Russia for not be conforme with the 242 Law about Data storage of Russian Users.
Ban can be esequted in 2018.
amendments to the law "On Personal Data", which require localization of personal data in the territory of Russia. Any Russian or foreign company focused on working with Russian users should ensure the recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, specification of personal data of Russians using databases located on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The updated law revises the very concept of personal data. Now it is not only the name and, for example, the address and year of birth, but any information related to the natural person it defines.
