I use coinbase ony for small amount (credit Card) from 500 to 1000 euro and have some issue last week for first time in over 2 years. On kraken (where i traded bigger amounts) i had daily issues!
I don't believe it's an issue when it's "always" happening during the most critical moments. It's clearly by purpose. The big wallets are supposed prepared for having that many accounts. And Coinbase is the only one I have trouble. With Blockchain I rarely had such a problem. Things are clear! Ten times in a row, is not just happening!
A lot of exchanger experimented issue in last weeks : from Kraken (hard to put order) ro Bittrex (freezing account), seems that exponential clients growt has generated more than an issue.

I guess you did not use much during these two years. Cause I had multiple times in few months. Right now I log in into all my wallets except Coinbase. And it will happen again and again when some coin will suddenly rise.
