He is offering you a chance to be a child of God, and inherit "Godness." You don't seem to be like God even enough to move out of self-torture.
Why would he offer me a chance he knew 6,000 years ago I would not accept?
Is he just showboating?
He is God. He is trying to wrangle you into accepting, no matter what He knows about your future.
