Not really! Crypto growth has suppressed my expectation and growing at an exponential rate since last few months. I never thought that bitcoin would grow to 17K USD level that fast. I expected it would grow to probably $9k to $10k by the end of 2017, but look what it has reached now. I believe the growth has been fueled by the adoption by big corporate companies across the world. Also the government of Japan provided a proper framework for the crypto user and started giving out licenses to the crypto exchanges. This has played a major role behind the growth of crypto prices. Now the expectation has been increased to an insane level and people are expecting as high as 25k USD by the first quarter of 2018. It's too good to be true. If this happens, I would be able to pay off all my debts.
