They are guessing.  When they guess correctly, they pretend like their guessing algorithm is reliable.  When they guess wrong, they hope you'll forget.

It doesn't matter what algorithm they use.  In the end, there is no way to know with any certainty what the price is going to do.  It's just guessing based on something that they saw in the past.
