I doubt the dev would do that.  Coinsmarkets is no different to staking pools and everyone will either sell or move to one of them if it's taken off.  That would be pointless.  There are lots of good coins on coinsmarkets, it isn't killing this one.  Just look at most new coins, lots of them sell off not long after they're on the first exchanges, then they recover later, as they mature.  I've been mining BiblePay and that looked dead but has now risen again
