My mother and I are on disability, food stamps, get BOTH medicaid and medicare, get free cell phone and live in my dead grandma's house for free. We get a combined of $1440 cash a month and $300 food stamps. Yes my mom spends about $120 a month on lottery and I go to the casino with $300 every month, but I play blackjack and win more often than not. And we go out to eat twice a month for $100. We do not have new cars as we have to rent a car once or twice a month to go out and do errands, etc which costs $200 a month alone. But we don't have smartphones...no need for one since we got a free one, no $200 shoes either, heck me and my mom only have 1 pair of shoes to our name and 2 changes of clothes each. We do have cable and internet, but we don't have hot water and that is our choice. Our house is also old and needs so many repairs and updates, etc. So yes, we may drive a nice new $30,000 rental car, go to the casino, buy lottery tickets, eat out, but the rest of the 29-30 days in the month we live in hell. How would you like to only leave the house once or twice a month? You people need to mind your own business! Oh, and hate when people tell us to get a job, when we get more than we would working at walmart or mcdonalds. And we don't own a car to go to work and don't have clothes for work.
