The uniform is really necessary to make that school become unique and easily to recognize.
But why would you need to recognize the school?
I had no uniform at school and I don't know anybody that did. We were allowed to wear whatever we chose to and it was also easier and cheaper for the parents as they didn't have to buy a closet full of uniforms that would then have to be thrown away when the child graduates.
