I am new to the bitcointalk and the blockchain in general, but I have been reading up and think it is the future. I have missed the boat on getting in at the basement, but wanted to invest some money LONG term in some crypto. From what I understand Bitcoin is having some trouble keeping up with transactions. Would Ether or Bitcoin be a better long term investment (10 years), or will something new come along and replace these coins?
If you are actually investing a long term investment, I'd advise you to go for bitcoin. The price of bitcoin is rising day by day and holding bitcoin for about will yield nothing but massive interest. Although, the future of ether is bright, it is not as bright as that if bitcoin.
Truly, new coins may come along the years, but I can assure you they will never replace bitcoin. Bitcoin has being the biggest cryptocurrency for so long and will surely retain that position a long because of its ever increasing market cap.
