Core features planned by Zcash in 2018:
- further upgrade zcash's performance, security, and usability
- improvements in privacy transactions
- smart contracts
Note: BitcoinZ will always have POW core client.
Near term goals:
- release 1.1.2 - stable version of zcash 1.0.13 merge, new checkpoints, collect all volunteers seeders and full nodes list to not have problems with connections
- publicly available testnet nodes + seeders
- upgrade bitcoinz-win to latest zcash version
Note that we have many teams. All teams may have different goals and roadmaps
If there will be no new features and only merging Zcash changes that Zcash and every other Zcash clone also have, then why would people use this over the others?- Follow stable zcash/bitcoin core updates / no new features other than Zcash changes are planned by bitcoinz-pod team

This is bitcoinz-pod team roadmap. We are going to provide stable software versions of BitcoinZ network clients - you can compare that to Debian in Linux space.
This is decentralized coin - of course we can have more teams developing its own Unix clients which will be compatible with current BitcoinZ network. They can add more fancy features. You can compare that to Ubuntu, Kubuntu in Linux space - all are based on stable Debian core.
We have the best tech on the market which is Zcash tech. The most important is decentralization.
There is no CORE team in this project.
This coin is only 3 months old. The level of decentralization we achieved so far is huge folks:
- full nodes around the world
- 30+ pools
- many dev teams and contributors - we all are volunteers
- many websites
- many sources of interaction: slack, telegram, discord, forums, fb groups
- decentralized funding managed independently by other team
There are also many things to be improved to be fully decentralized.
On the top of fair launch & fair principles we are able to build the future.
And remember what we are doing here is we are decentralizing truth.
