Question. If I sent some ETH, do you think that is affected? I saw a TX page but when I go to double check, get the same "down" error. Thoughts?
In general, no. etherscan is just explorer for the ETH network. And it's not up.
You could always use alternatives like https://ethplorer.io/ or https://www.etherchain.org/
